the old Sprint wasnt getting by with the effort they were putting forth......now that they are all wireless..........they can put all of their effort into something that is really good so far
The maps got another revision last night with a few new towers added in the past 90 days as well as a minor update for the green coverage areas. The green areas are still about 2 months behind though in some places where a new site was recently added.
thats really not bad though considering the position some companies are in with their coverage maps......hemmhemmVerizonhemm
They still need to reflect the EVDO Rev A changes announced earlier this week. Charlotte was one of them an still shows all orange (no red)
ah i hope Sprint buys out iPCS, does anyone think they are going to in the near future? They have done a really ______ job of building their so called "network" in northern michigan, because I think if sprint would buy them out than they would really try to build out more of their network up here (north/central michigan)
I wouldn't necessarily think Sprint will buy IPCS but they might negotiate a new agreement with them like they just did with Shentel.
yeah...............usually negotiating with more companies makes more compliations...........just buy them out and plow the problem right over........
Larry, i have to ask since you live in La. I looked at a coverage map of los angeles and i clicked the nextel button. It would appear that Nextel has little to no coverage in DOWNTOWN los angeles. How is that possible and why would they not have coverage there?
Must be a mistake. I'm looking at Nextel's real tower map right now and they have superb coverage all around LA. No dead spots. In fact they have so many cell sites in downtown LA that Sprint was able to fill in their own weak spots by adding CDMA to many of them in recent months.
i think Sprint secretly wanted to spin off its wireline company even before the Sprint Nextel merger..............cuz you see............when the merger went through.........Sprint landline would have been a drag.............having them as a separate company allows them to do more with their money and not have to make the landline service a "liability"
They made the change because there is now data roaming. So it is a lot easier to display all green for native and roaming, because you can use your Sprint phone in the same way all over the network now. Verizon and Cingular have been doing it this way for a while. So now Sprint has finally started doing it.
