I don't know why, but Sprint doesn't seem to have any licenses in Florida, though they clearly do have service there. FCC database search is here: http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/searchLicense.jsp I can't see anything under any other names either, they just seem to be completely absent from the database. Any idea what's going on?
For cellular companies all you will see is a market license. They also may not be under the name "Sprint PCS" or "Cingular Wireless". Quite often the region is owned and licensed by an LLC that is owned by the carrier. So the license is in the LLC's name, not the carrier. The only carrier that will have every site licensed is Nextel as they are an SMR provider and not a cellular company.
