    Um, Arizona???;) (Sorry, couldn't resist)

I'm sure it will be available there too. Maybe Sprint's press release department forgot Phoenix exists, seeing as they do have a lot on their plate these days...:)

North Los Angeles would consist of the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys, Santa Clarita, Palmdale, up the 5 to Gorman and up the 101 to Cambria, including Ventura and Santa Barbara.

Not in the initial launch, but it's coming.

Yippie!!!! If I drive to very specific city's(or parts of) I can use my "new feature" on my phone......launch it in all areas or it is pretty much useless. Normal Sprint stuff....some customers are good enough for it but not the others.

No word on this yet. I am sure you could get an add on to your sero plan though.

so i definitely think they have done a good job with the rugged aspect.......and the phones look attractive as well......and they're relatively inexpensive for the features that are offered

The phones just dont do for me. Great idea but the phones arent a "Direct Connect" for me.

well it does make the migration easier because whether it's DIrect Connect or QChat they still work just about the same and keeping the brand name helps to portry that to potential Sprint customers.......im not a big fan of the Sanyo myself but i do like the LG and the Moto

Yeah I saw the review. Sorry not even close to being good enough I want to see contractors in the area and other business people give reviews on this as they are the ones that will really put it to use.

yeah........i guess a good PREview is when you have hundreds of people using it at one time and see how well the network handles all the data......because this is a VoIP application so i hope that Sprint gets cracking with that backbone restructuring plan......its crucial if they want SprintLink to handle cellular data and the upcoming WiMax network commercially

After calling about ten stores I found a store that had just one in stock here in Fairfax. Of course I went out and bought it :)

with large m2m networks now, it almost doesnt even make sense to use a Direct Connect feature anymore IMO.

You know I used to be a giant critic of DC. I thought that half duplex conversations were just so pointless. But after I started using it I found it to be one of the most addictive features that I have used...

I use it at work and a little for play... It is just a much more efficient and faster way to get in touch with more people.

glad it works for you. ive use PTT networks and ive always found its easier to text/email/or just plain call. you do get a "cool" factor out of it but thats it.
