I wonder if a nasty separation and/or ultimate divorce will occur between these two, unless their mutual investment is too costly for a split to occur?

This is not the kind of situation Sprint needs right now.

I never had a good feeling about the whole Sprint/Clearwire WiMAX thing from the start. I don't know why Sprint can't be a "normal" cellco, and just build their own LTE network like everyone else. Instead they subcontract to an odd-ball company to build a network running an oddball technology . But given their merger with Nextel, I guess they like that kind of stuff... oh well. Here's hoping T-Mobil buys them out and kicks them where they need it and get the LTE going :D:p

It seems like things blow up in Sprint's face more often than the other carriers, what with all the Nextel problems, now Clearwire issues, and the muddled future of WiMAX. At least they make the wireless world interesting...

I don't think this is any big deal. Just details that need to be resolved. At least Sprint is putting up positive customer additions and offering some good handsets now. Most affiliates have been purchased as well so that's all behind them now.

Though the Clearwire issue isn't a positive one, I agree things are much better for Sprint these days than the constant bad news reports of the past. It seemed like Sprint could never get a break, whether it was deserved or not.
