I got this in the mail today. Just wondering if anyone else knows about this or has heard anything about this, or even gotten something in the mail like I have.
Nope haven't seen that one. I did get a different class action suit insert into one of my bills last month. But it was totally different than that one.
Just got my Sprint bill Saturday (aha Larry you didn't even know I had Sprint did you... ?). I do have a class action suit notice in there but is different from Andy's. Mine says to mail it to Benny/Lundberg Settlement.
Yep. We got that. I think we would get a long distance card for $2.50 or something like that. I get something similar to that since I currently have Sprint. Larry, the class action settlement is for people that have had Sprint anywhere from December 1, 2000 to after May 31, 2003 for the Benney Settlement Class. The Lundberg Settlement Class is for anyone from January 1, 1997 to after June 1, 2003. Unless Charlyee has Sprint and has been keeping it a secret. Here is the different classes: http://www.sprintclassactionsettlement.com/WhatClass.htm
Charlyee, do you mean Sprint wireless or Sprint local (landline service)? My family hasn't had Sprint PCS since January of 2003, but we still got the class action notice.
For anyone interested in the Sprint Class Action Settlement, here is the link to the website: http://www.sprintclassactionsettlement.com/
Sprint wireless, have had it since early 2001. I don't have to tell you guys everything, do I? :rotfl:
That's exaclty what mine says too and it also gives the website Gamer supplied us with. A LD calling card would be basically worthless these days as LD is included with most cell plans as well as home phone service/VOIP(and yes I'm aware not everyone uses that ).
I got one of the post cards for The Lundberg Settlement Class about a week ago. I had Sprint and Alltel at the same time back in 97 and 98. I just tossed my little card, B/C I don't want to pay the tax on the windfall from all of this.
No. But like larry said, that is a pretty big secret. May I ask if this phone is for personal or business use?
OK Larry & Gamer, here is my Sprint story just for you. The phone is for personal use. I am not the primary user and I never was, but until 02/05 I used to use it about 10% of the time, at that time I did have Sprint on my profile together with the A600. Now I don't use it at all but I do pay the monthly bill so I still consider having it, the phone associated with it is the PM 325. As an aside the PM325 fell into a sink full of water about 6 months back but recovered fully. We actually have reasonably good Sprint coverage in our area, I recall maybe a handfull of dropped/garbled calls in 5 years. Are you happy now? PS: At one time I had Cingular, Verizon, T-Mobile & Sprint on my profile for a couple of years and one of the members PMed me to ask me if I really have all the providers at the same time. I am not sure if he believed me or not when I said "Yes"....
Just out of curiousity why do you need all of those phones and service? Is it a business thing and you get them free or something? I've only ever had one phone and service and it suits me just fine. Call me cheap but I'd hate to have to pay monthly bills for 4 accounts.
No it is not a business thing & I wish I did get them for free. Ok here is my reasoning. 1. Cingular Post Pay - My Primary Phone 2. Cingular Pre Pay - Everybody's Back Up Phone From Home (because Cingular is the only service we get at home) 3. Verizon - need for service from SOs work area & some parts of Western WI & IA. 4. T-Mobile-dropped as of 1/06 5. Sprint - I will stop paying the bills from11/06.
Ok. Thanks for sharing your story Charlyee. I appreciate it. I completely forgot that you had Sprint on your profile.
Larry if you keep this up I am going to tell you where you can put them....:lmao: Oh oops I can't do that to a super mod, I will be permanently banned from WA then....
Whew for a minute there I thought you two Californians were going to suggest an "Angels" banner. Yellow is good, I love yellow, specially Ferrari Yellow
Sorry Sir, I stand corrected So does anyone know if this class action suit form is worth filling up and how many of you did or are going to do it?
I was going to fill mine out and send it in but have been too lazy this week. In order to reap all of the benefits (quarterly credits) from it you need to be a customer for two more years.
OK so they lost a class action suit about their "Regulatory Fees" and "Rounding to the nearest minute" so if they settled this, why haven't people tried to get these suits against all carriers to maybe get them to end the practice's? At least make the FCC Stop allowing the companies to pass on the charges to the customers? (I know they would find a way to add it in the regular plan fee, but it would make you know what your bill is each month closer then what it is now.
so, wait, how much do you get really, I mean, 8 quarterly friggin credits to total $7 doesn't mean jack, but I'll take it because I know alot of people were affected, come to think of it, does it require that you have the same number, Sprint changed my number when I lost my phone and bought a new one. and to think I was getting them invoices all Emailed to me. forget that, I cancelled that to have them physically sent to me. but I will fill it out and get my six pack of Budweiser
