FYI, I'm a proud AMERICAN, and MORMON, I can take a lot of stuff, and I have a great sense of humour, but attack those two things and my sense of humour stops. Perhaps you've just been smoking corn cobs too long. I feel sorry you feel the need to attack my patriotism, but that seems to be the norm in Bush's America.

I HAVE been in that situation. Do you have a guarantee that your job will be there tomorrow? Nope, you HOPE it will, but you also plan for the future by saving for an emergency. I would sure like to know who in the wireless business guarantees employment. That would be one helluva company to work for. Do retail stores guarantee positions, do manufacturers? Yep, they may be pissed off, but they will find something else, if they are so motivated. Now, that is so cruel you may say, but I have re-invented my skills several times now. Being mad at the company didn't bring in a paycheck, it didn't feed the kids, or put clothes on their backs. I had to get the motiviation to do something else, nobody was going to hand it to me, or do it for me. It's the "Nobody is responsible for my future except for me" idea. No-one owes me a job, no-one guarantees me a job. But I find them, and try to prosper in them, and if and when they disappear, I move on and find another. I can be mad and shout curses at my former employer all day long, but that doesn't get me an interview, or update my resume, does it? The jobs being created are not all "minimum wage" jobs. They are out there, you the responsible one, have to find them. Nobody will do for you, you have to do for yourself.

Sure we have all been in situations where we could not control the outcome, but come on, they are cutting 2000 jobs...that in my opinion is a major problem in leadership with that company...either those jobs should have been cut one by one as needed or they are cleaning up or covering up some other mistakes in management...those 2000 families losing their jobs may (or may not) be the best thing for their company, however, there is a major problem when you have to do that many cuts all at once.

A family member uses AT&T Wireless. They are the only ones that have a signal at her job.
