    Hello:
I wanted to do some thing similar. I started up a Sprint account and then the new Nextel phone came out that allowed you to use both networks.I was going to give my old phone to my wife to use. I was told I would have to have two accounts because the new phone was a Nextel.. So I believe he would have to open a Nextel account also.
    Good luck:

well thats very different............Sprint to Nextel is very hard but Nextel to Sprint isn't.........im just wondering if a Sprint phone and a Nextel phone can coexist on the same account or maybe could he upgrade to a hybrid and keep his chirp
