Hmm, I've never tried real Spam. The gelatinous goo scares me off as well as the idea of processed canned ham. I know Hawai'ians love it, but....I don't know...
I was forced to eat that stuff growing up... The most horrible tasting stuff ever made. The stuff would mold in the fridge since I'd rather eat nothing than to eat Spam or Treet.
I here it does wonders as spackle for those nasty window drafts, as a drywall sealant, and, most importantly, refrigerator science experiments... Gotta love it!
@ RJB... No, that wasn't fun at all LOL. My mom seemed to like it but I couldn't stomach the stuff. Needless to say, I don't see anyone eating that mess anymore. I'm surprised that it's still around. @Mobile Mike... Food shouldn't be that functional!
So true! I guess it gives new meaning to the word "multitasking"... I've never tried the stuff and I don't plan to anytime soon.
Only God knows what else is in that concoction! I'm sure that sodium isn't the only ingredient! I'd probably keel over and die if I ate the stuff LOL I usually try to stay away from the canned meats anyway.
Even more frightening is exactly WHAT pig parts are used to create this stuff...I shudder to think what it could be.
There's no denying the appeal LOL But I won't touch the stuff. I'll have high blood pressure since pork + sodium makes for a lethal combination.
Gee, ONLY 750 mg of Sodium??? Is that all??? As long as I have my 5 gallon bottle of water near me, I should be fine... Well, at least they use "pork shoulder" instead of the other end...
