I think it's a little suspicious that some of the pics he posted were 1280 pixels wide. Does a 1.3MP camera even have that high of a resolution?

It looks similiar to the VX7000. Only difference seems to be the 1.3 MP camera. What's with all the huge phones coming out?

Although I will certainly take a look at when it comes out I don't like large phones. The 8K is even slightly bigger than the 7K and does not have that much more to offer. I do like LGs so it will be worth taking a look. :)

Not more to offer? The 8k has 1. EVDO (although I don't really care) 2. Speakerphone 3. A camera that *might* actually take pictures with high enough resolution to be worth taking. 4. Plays back MP3's without hacking around.

I'm not sure what the 7k has over the 6k myself, but I'm holding out for a perhaps semi-decent camera, and speakerphone.

Sorry, I should have clarified my comment. You are right of course but none of the features you mentioned are a priority for me and hence my comment. I have the 6K and upgraded to a 7K and had it for 5 days. The 6K was almost pefect except for some minor irritations which got fixed in the 7K. I loved the 7K except for the size and might actually go back to it if/when the prices come down.

I can live with a slightly larger phone...looks like i'll be dropping my 7k when this one comes out

I wonder what battery life is like with the 8k when playing MP3s...

Oh I will for sure look at carefully when it comes out. ;) The local Verizon store was teasing me about getting me a job there since it seems like I am always there.

So when is it coming out? :D

It's good to finally see camera phones get better quality, but for any real picture I'll use my 5MP Sony Cybershot that was about $100 cheaper than these phones.
