I don't use my cell phone camera all that much, but occasionally there is something I want a record of, and it's the camera that's always handy. Here are a few that I thought were interesting. Please feel free to add your own cell phone pics to this thread. The first two were taken around sunset at Sandia Crest, NM. It's at 10,000 feet or so. Albuquerque, NM is visible below. SW
The ceiling of the main terminal, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, North Carolina (CLT). I thought the industrial design was interesting. SW
Night and (overcast) daytime views of Times Square, NYC. My hotel room happened to look out on a big LG sign, so I thought I would photograph it with my LG phone. SW
The Gypsy Bar in the Borgata Hotel and Casino, Atlantic City, NJ. They specialize in tequila and the bartender had recommended a "Reserva de la Familia" for sipping. Nice, but I'll probably stick to scotch. In the second one I was trying to be artistic. SW
Tony Chan's Water Club restaurant, Miami, FL. They have a glass wall so you can watch what's going on in the kitchen (the weird light is reflections in the glass). I was very impressed by the wok techniques and the flame that was always full blast. Note how high the flame goes in the second pic when he has taken the wok off it. SW
A Jaguar MK IX on Charles St. in Boston. I don't know much about these, but apparently they were made between 1959 and 1961. SW
OK boys and girls, never do this. Don't try to take pictures of an exotic car while driving, even if it turns out to be a Lamborghini Gallardo. This was on Rt. 95 between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. Sorry Mom, I'll try to be more sensible next time. :O SW
Wow Steve if I had known you were going to be in my neck of the woods, maybe we could have hooked up. I remember the gypsy bar well (well as much as I could) that's where I met Scott Travis from Judas Priest and he played with the bar band Screaming broccoli. Nice pictures with the phone, everywhere you went, I sure do miss NM & hope to get back there for some classes soon.
Tom - didn't know you were close to Atlantic City - I thought you were up near Newark. I was there for a business meeting (don't ask). I've never been interested in gambling, but after our meeting and a nice meal at Bobby Flay's, some folks played a bit of blackjack and some of us had a few tequilas and listened to the band at Gypsy. Didn't meet any celebrities, though. I'll let you know if I am back in the neighborhood. SW
Cool. Nice shots. The shore pics remind me of Cold Spring Harbor and Huntington Harbor, near where my sister lives. SW
That's very close to where these were actually taken. I believe the one with the 2 trees is at the Creek Club in Lattingtown, and the other is around that area as well.
Yeah I am closer to Newark (about 5 miles from the airport) so when you were in the city I was the closest, but A.C. is only a 2 hour ride & would give me a reason to get away for a few hours. :lmao: But if your in the NYC area next time, let me know, heck there are some others that aren't that far as well.
Nice idea SteveW, and very nice pictures Yankees & Steve. Here is my contribution. Taken with my Blackjack, under dim lighting, in a messy garage, out of focus, but totally random
As long as it's totally random... This is a sign on the wall of a shop in and electronics mall in Moscow, Russia. The sign reads "No running exit!!! This is glass".
Here is a picture of an accident while I was out this afternoon: Picture 1: Picture 2: The pictures were taken with my Sprint Palm Treo 700wx. I saved them once I uploaded them to my picturemail account at Sprint.
Now you know that's not true. Heck with all the people in this area on these boards, I am suprised we haven't had a meeting.
