So can i do this or not, i havent gotten a straight answer

    Okay, is it or it not possible for me to buy a verizon blackberry and have it set up thorugh alltel so they are my provider? I hate Alltel's phones is why im asking

    Data settings may not work properly, as the phone connects to Blackberry's servers as well. Without full data access, Blackberrys won't function the way they're designed to.

    Besides that, if you are in a market where AT&T is taking over your portion of Alltel, you will eventually be shifting to AT&T phones, which are incompatible with Alltel and Verizon. AT&T uses GSM, Verizon and Alltel use CDMA. Two completely different network technologies.
