I just called ATT CS to inform them of a spammer. The agent I spoke to was unaware of any informant from ATT about this activity. Wondering if any other ATT subscribers had this problem recently....

    Date/Time: 4/7/2002 12:40AM
    Sender: eduard_smith@systems-mail.org
    Subject line: Hello
Body: Find out what your children, lovers, employees, are doing on the Internet. Make sure they are safe on the internet with (The rest of the message was truncated.)

If anyone else has experienced this, make sure to inform ATT so they can track this.

Whoever this is, I'd like to ring his neck. I had forgotten to turn off my phone and it beeped to notify me of incoming message.

I want to make it clear that it is NOT ATTWS that is doing this. It is some loathesome spammer.

    Dukedog,

The problem with doing that is some unscrupulous spammers actually flood a system with unknown addresses. Then they wait to see 1) how many "invalid address/rejections" they get from the server and 2) how many "unsubscriber" messages they get from real "hits." Then they flood those hits with more spam. I don't want this loser to know he had a definite hit.

    Wayne,

I don't know about Eduard, but I know I don't look good in a dress. (--A mother that wanted a daughter, holloween costum at age 16, you get the rest.)[IMG]

There should be a way to block him................kinda like an email address. Your phone should have its own email...........I know Verizons does. Isnt there a site you can go to set up preferances??? Like block sender??

    www.vtext.com

Check it out..........even though you are through ATT.............it will still work.
