SMS MMS Backup / Restore App (Android)

    Verizon (past US Cellular, Alltel, At&t)
    I have about 2000 SMS and MMS messages that I want to transfer from my Droid X to Razr Maxx. Can anyone recomend a good app? I took them in to a Verizon Dealer store and they were able to transfer them by machine but they were out of sequence when restored. I have to do a factory reset to try and fix a signal issue and thought I would try an app this time... Thanks!

    There are two apps which will do the job. You can use either SMS Backup & Restore or SMS Backup app to backup your messages. SMS Backup & Restore only backup your messages in SD card. You can then use the SD card on the other phone to restore the messages. Your phones have removable SD card. Some phones which don’t have SD card slots can use SMS Backup app. With SMS backup app you have two ways to backup either to SD card or to a private E-mail. There are softwares available with which we can backup our messages to pc and then transfer it to another phone.
