Hi all. I thought it would be an interesting exercise to list all the daily activities and all the tangible devices that my smartphone has replaced. After creating both lists, I decided to post it on my blog. I would very much appreciate any additions if you can think of any. You can leave a note here or add a comment on my blog article. Thanks. Reflections: How Useful Are Smartphones?
I could think of only two more as of now. One as bank ATM – you can deposits with the help of snapshot using USAA’s app, and second as business card via CardCloud. But I could not understand what you meant by “level” in your list. Can you please elaborate?
ATM! I forgot about that. As far as a level goes, there's a bubble level app. You never know how often having a level in your pocket comes in handy.
If we're looking at things that are added specifically by a smartphone over a feature phone, I'd have to say that ability to use it as a watch/alarm clock, level, map, music player, camera, radio, convert meters to feet and send pictures was there as well. I could or did all of those things with my Sony K850i.
theraven146: Hi. About "level." I meant what a carpenter uses to ensure a surface is level. That can be found in such apps as Swiss Army Knife: https://play.google.com/store/apps/..._knife&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd To all. Thanks for feedback.
