I thought I saw in another thread that buying anything more then 1 gig miniSD for the v3m is a waste. Is this still true? I found a 4gb that was very attractive if I would actually be able to put near that amount of music on the phone.

Any other advise on those? Any brands to avoid, things to look for?

    Thanks
    Dandee

The phone cannot read any more than 1gb. It MIGHT accept the card, but it definitely wil not be able to read the full amount of the card.

Thank you for the info. Is there something special I need to do to format the card so that I can take advantage of all the space? I have not done any seem edits but i am using MPT for calendar and contacts, and using WMP for music sync successfully.

The recommended way is to format the card IN THE PHONE. That way there, the phone will put the proper tree structure on the card with all the correct folders, etc.

Any one have reported issues with SanDisk? I found this one pretty cheap, about half the price of best buy or circuit city. However I don't know much about them so maybe this is a poor brand.

Generally SanDisk is high quality, it's also the only brand I use as far as solid state memory is concerned I have a Cruzr Micro Thumb Drive and a 1gb MiniSD Card in my 8125.

The manual I received states the V3m will read up to a 2GB memory card.
    Just an FYI...

The problem is it has not worked for the 10 or so people who tried this. It works for the Chocolate, so Verizon must have mislabled it.

So thats not the right one? I wish my local store was more useful. I know more about the phone then they do.

Anyway, I will just go to best buy or something and take a look at the actual products before I order online.
