I listened to it a bit two nights ago and the voice (only) sounded very strange and distorted although the music seemed to be ok.

Same here on Long Island for the past few days. I noticed that, but didnt post about it. It's a very strange problem, seeing that Hits 1 is usually the absolute best quality sounding station.
