I took a SIM card out of a voicestream, not tmobile phone and put it into an old cingular phone (Model 6340i) When I power the phone on, it says "Phone Restricted. I press 'undo' and it says 'eneter restriction code' anyone know what it is?

I got the code and unlocked it. It has a Voicestream SIM card in it, but the phones display doesn't pick up a signal How do I get it to pick up a tmobile signal? Also, is there a way to re-lock the phone?

If the handset is unlocked and the SIM you've inserted into it is valid it should work. If it's an old deactivated VoiceStream SIM that has not been used in a long while it's likely deactivated and you will not be able to do anything with that service except to call 911. When you power on the phone and look under menu/settings/phone and search for networks it should tell you which networks are available in your area. You will only be able to register on networks that you have a working account.
