Hi, I want to sign up for SERO plan, but it looks like the emails I found on the Internet don't seem to work. Could someone please give me a working sprint email account so I can sign up? Thank you very much!
savings@sprintemi.com still works. You can also use the email of one of the Sprint PR employees. Go to the Sprint Newsroom site and grab the email address on any of the news articles. I just tried the email from the Sprint and Google WIMAX news piece and it let me in.
oh.......didnt realize that that one still works....... well anyway.............does anyone know the deadline for SERO now or are they just playing the field at this point on when they will shut it down???
Although it says it end on the 29th, I wouldn't be surprised to see Sprint extend it once again. They've done this umpteen times already.
Any luck Howard? I've heard of mixed success with savings@sprintemi.com email, but not sure if people are having problems calling that one in, or using it online. Would like to sign up soon, so let me know how it went!
Check the fine print on the sprint.com/sero page (before entering an email address and going into the store) and you'll see all the offer expiration dates (including unlimited texting) end in November sometime now. I was hoping they'd extend it as I'm trying to hold out for the Vogue/Touch and was happy to see the extended date. ***Correction*** The unlimited text is noted as 11/3, "device offers" are still through 9/29.
I signed up for SERO in June because the unlimited texting promotion was ending then. They've extended that several times now and they will extend it again, I'm sure. The "device offers" expiring just means that they have to give even better deals on all the "old" phones after the deadline passes because there will be new phones. I wouldn't worry about SERO going away any time soon. As for calling in, I ordered SERO by phone (because you couldn't order online at all) and the first time they had no trouble with the savings@ email address. The second time, they didn't even ask me for an email address. You should be safe here, too. Find a PR email address as a backup, just in case.
Hey, thanks for the reply. I tried to call yesterday, but before they even asked about my email, I asked about getting the SERO plan and canceling my existing sprint line(which is out of contract). The rep wouldn't answer me, and eventually told me that he cannot suggest that course of action, or he'd get in trouble(he can't suggest I cancel anything), but there really should be no problem in doing that, right? Also, what is the difference between signing up online and on the phone? I'd rather avoid a second credit check if possible, so should I prefer one over the other? edit: oh and i know I'll lose my current number, thats no big deal.
I'd agree SERO is gonna be around for a while, but the phone prices are kinda a moving target and not always down. The last price update at the beginning of September raised most of the phone prices by about $20 and the smart phones had a $100 rebate added to get them back down to that higher price. Example: the Mogul used to be $288 with no rebates, now it's $299 after a $100 rebate.
Hey, I just called and got shot down with the savings@sprintemi.com email address, he told me that the promotion was closed and to get the persons email address, so I guess that one is YMMV? He told me to try it online, seemed pretty nice, maybe he was suggesting that would work, but I'd rather do it over the phone to try and avoid a credit check by keeping it on the same account. Anyone have one that still works on the phone?
yeah me 2.................i cant wait for the Touch..................it looks like it will go so well with the SERO plan with data centric application and things like that
I got the plan today...although I was on the phone with about 15 reps that said I couldn't! I finally got one in retentions that changed it over for me no questions asked. It didn't come with the txt msg'ing. though. I guess I will email ecare about it tomorrow or a couple of days from now. And yes it can be done on a current plan...I was on a shared 59.99 plan. WOW. Persistance is the key.
Congrats on getting the plan. I always tell everyone that it's not easy to get a SERO if you're an existing customer trying to change over to one. But like you said pesistence is key. You can't expect to get it the first time you call that's for sure.
Could someone kindly explain how handset exchange work? I got the Trep 755p but I'm not sure if I'll like it as much as I think. It's $300 after instant rebate with $100 mail in rebate. If I were to exchange for say Razr 2, which is $250 after instant rebate with no mail in, what would happen in the Sprint Store?
Thanks 4 all u guys help. I got the plan and got the unlimited txt msg'ing too. You guys are great! Have a blessed day.
