    Hi everyone,

Over the weekend, I moved from my AWE account with a Nokia 7210 to a Cingular account with a Mot V551. It was a very smooth process and I haven't had any real issues so far. The reception seems to be better and I'm able to get reception in some areas I have not been able to with AWE.

One thing I have noticed is that the V551 seems to have an incredibly short battery life. I let my phone charge overnight (at least 10 hours) and the next morning it had three bars (FULL) on the screen. After about 20-25 minutes of talk time and the rest leaving the phone on but closed, by that evening, the number of bars was down to one. Is this normal? If it is, I'm going to have to remember to take a charger EVERYWHERE I go.

With my Nokia, it seemed the battery would just go on forever, even after significant talk time.

I have a V551, the battery usage is not great...but I use BlueTooth and that does drain the batter a bit faster....but still doesn't seem as bad as your are reporting.

Maybe have a tech take a look at it.

I find that the v551 battery life is pretty good. I used to have a sonyericcson t637 and the battery life was far worse.
