Im Having Service issues with my LG phone & no longer having good service or any service for that matter,in my home area where i normally would receive excellent signal until now! I called verizon and they told me their is no service interuptions in the area, and then once i leave my home area, I get excellent service with out an issue. I have the LG vx8600 & my wifes phone service has lost alot also and she has the razor. VZW said i have a bad phone and their sending me a new one ACTUALLY THEIR SENDING ME A REFURBISHED PHONE ! I AM PISSED OFF ABOUT THAT ! IVE HAD THIS PHONE FOR 6 Weeks and since its past 30 day i would only receive a refurbished one ! But i beleive their is something up with the tower in the area.? anyone familar with orange county ny.? Also i no longer receive signal in my home and where I used to in my home was never an issue. I always had a full signal or a couple bars less ! Thanks all for your input !

  2. did you explain to them that your wife's phone is having issues as well? Usually when you explain that to them they can easily see its the network, and will open a trouble ticket for you. That's what happened in my case anyway.

After you get your refurb phone and the service is still bad, let them know that, and that will let them rule out and phone trouble and hopefully they'll see its the network.

Just to let you know: Any refurb phones Ive delt with them before have always been in new condition. I really think you'll be okay with the phone, but if something were to happen they will definetly take care of you.

I had the same problem (and still am) with my VX8600. People call me and they go straight to voice mail, and my text msgs are "stored" until they appear hours later. Verizon told me that it's because of the "terrain of my area." My husband does not have this problem in the house, he also has Verizon service but has a Blackberry. Verizon sent me the same phone and I'm still having problems with it. Can a specific phone have service problems?

LG phones have been known to have mixed reception. Though, I thought the VX8600 was better with reception than other LG's. Phones can make a difference. Motorola's and Nokia's have been known to have excellent reception.
