    Hi,

I recently bought a Dare and received two LG VX5500 free along with it. My parents don't need new phones, so they wanted to sell them. The Verizon website says "buy the Dare and get 2 LG VX5500 free with 2 year activation." Does that mean that the person I am selling the VX5500's to will not be able to activate and use the phone because the ESN is locked to my plan for now?

One possible solution: Activate the two phones, and then reactivate the old phones so the VX5500's are not in use? Thanks.

I would really recommend calling Verizon on this one. If you are still within the 30 days of the purchase of the Dare, you may be able to return the unused "free" phones.

Your situation is what I don't like about Verizon's "Buy one, get X free" deals. Let them explain what you're actual contractual obligation is, otherwise you might be in for an expensive cancellation (re: ETF's).

I've never taken part of a promo like this, and your situation is one of the reasons why.

Welcome to Wireless Advisor, by the way. :)

Well, on the Buy one get x free offers, you dont have to get the free phones. Just because something is free doesn't mean that you have to take it:browani: This type of promo was hot I was able to start my family plan back in 06. But I do agree, there's is rarely anything free withn these promos... the  is in the details!

Exactly, but if you don't request NOT to get the phones, Verizon assumes you're taking the promo and two extra phones arrive. That's the hitch. It looks like the OP didn't request not to receive them.

As you said, it's the " in the details"...;)
