It's official. Adelphia no longer exist -- we in Los Angeles are all Time Warner Cable now. Don't let the door hit you in the on the way out, Rigas. I, for one, welcome our new cable overlords. They couldn't possibly suck as much as Adelphia did.
Yeah they've been blasting the ads here for a couple of weeks. I've been in a Time Warner service area for a long time and have been very satisfied. I've done contract work for both Adelphia and TWC and TWC was always much easier to work with.
Zaphod, I couldn't agree with you more!!:thumb: Here in the Inland Empire, it's the same story. Time Warner is our new cable company as well, and I couldn't be happier. Though Time Warner isn't perfect, I can say (as an ex-Charter (mis)Communications employee) that TW is far better than anyone else. Look forward to a better, redesigned channel line-up to match their existing SFV and Orange County systems. Along with better pricing plans with discounted savings on bundled services. I hated Adelphia as much as you did. I have been waiting for Time Warner to arrive since last year when this deal was first announced. Time Warner now has about 2.5 million subscribers in Metro Los Angeles. They now dominate Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, and Ventura Counties. They are just a bit larger than Cox Cable in Orange County. This is a good thing for us. More uniformity in their systems and unique regional opportunities that have not existed before when the L.A. area was served by about 40 different cable companies. They still have some work to do to completely clean out the stench of Adelphia, but they are already making progress so far after only two weeks since they took over. Good Riddance Adelphia!!!
HURRAY! Back in Buffalo, Adeplhia was in control of those damn cable lines. Crappy TV lineup, slow internet. Now, hopefully things will get better. Although, because Adelphia was such a bad company, maybe now my free cable modem service will stop working when I get back. (BTW...nice simpsons reference Zaphod)
Cool. I didn't like TWC LOL. To avoid them we have everything through at&t except the satellite dish is from DirecTV.
TWC in SoCal is awesome. My family their has had them for years (I think). When I lived their I had them get the High Speed Internet. It was so fast, and I never had major issues. Also every time I vist now they have more channels & content and the price is very resonable for everthing you get. I would love any one to buy out our cable company (CMA). Everything is horrible with this company. No channels, crummy quality even on digital, slow internet w/ high latency, limits on data, & expensive as hell.
