I just ran into the problem of having my lock access code put in wrong 5 times -- by my wife. Now my nokia is asking for the security code - which I thought was left as the default code that came with the phone. Anyways, I cant access the phone. Should I be able to get the phone unlocked by my local provider? I just want to make sure that there is some way to get the phone security code. thanks,

ok...here's what you do, hopefully its the same as all the nokias

    turn it on, enter *3001#12345#

    scroll down to security

    select that

thats your password, write it down, shut off phone

    turn phone on, enter password

good luck, tell me if it works

Leave it off for about an hour and then try the code again.

Hi -- I tried your way of finding my security code but it didn't work for me. I have the Nokia 8260.
I just want to erase my minutes each month so I can see how many I'm using.
(I tried *3001#12345# scrolled down for the number; shut the phone off & then turned it on & used the # for security but was informed it was wrong.
    Please help..
    Thanks
