Yes...this the one that I talked about in another thread about being extremely loud... I like the way the camera swivels...reminds me of my LG 7000.

I thought this phone was by far the loudest phone I've ever heard in my life as far as ringtone! at least the one at the store was loud!

Definately would never miss a call with this phone!
If only it was GSM! ;) then I could get one and unlock it for T-mobile.!

My fiance has the LG 7000, which is a cool phone too...
    and yes. it is loud.

I've just figured out a way to convert my .mov files on my computer (from my digital camera...some funny vegas movies) to .3p2 files for phone viewing...good stuff, not exactly a necessity, but fun to have some funny clips that you can show people wherever you go.

Sounds cool. My digital camera also does videos, so it's fun too. But I don't pack my camera around everywhere like my cell...so I can see how fun it would be to show your videos :)
Like I said, I was just extremely impressed at how loud the Samsung was, considering in the past Samsungs are not known for the loudness factor.
Well enjoy your new phone. I think it's a cute one.

Please post some comments on the call and reception quality. I'm sure the internal display is similar to the VX8100 and SCH-A950 but what is the external display like without the bigger and color display of the other phones?

:D Got mine for $49.99 AND buy-one-get-one-free for my daughter w/2-yr contract. Both deals were applied on the spot...no mail-in rebate.

I really like this phone so far and I'll like it even more when I get some stuff unlocked.

Oh, and it paired up nicely with the bluetooth HFL in my '04 TL. I'd heard that previous Samsung phones had some problems in that area. Looks like they fixed it.

WOW that is a sweeeet deal... where did you get it? The VZ store in my town is giving away v325s with the purchase of select phones; I am seriously getting the 930 next month... I know promos change all the time-- I hope I can get one for fifty bucks; I am going to get a family plan and if the 930 is a BOGO, Mom will have to be happy with the a930 LOL

I've never been so enthused about a phone

    Columbia, SC here.

I bought a VZ family plan for myself and the daughter with the intention of moving my wife over later as soon as her Alltel contract expires.

Anyway, I was going to buy the Moto e815 ($49.99, BOGO) but after some comparison I decided I liked the SCH-a950 better and it had the same deal. They were sold out, so the salesman said he would offer the same deal on the 930 and apply all the rebates on-the-spot. He also gave me a 30-day trial period instead of the normal 15 because it's a new model.

I thought VZ treated me pretty well. :)

I noticed that the battery life of the A930 is much shorter than my A670. The charge will barely last 3 days. Also, while it's not a smooth fit, the charger for my old A670 will fit the A930. Anyone know if I'm damaging my phone by using the old adapter?

i couldn't even get my a670 adapter into the a930 slot, but since you did it, that means you totally whammed it in? i suggest not doing it anymore or you will damage some hardware inside.

Thanks. I simply had to angle it in. It's a bit snug, but I'm not mashing it in to make it fit. As long as the voltage is still the same then I feel comfortable in using the A670 charger with the A930.

I'm still not happy with the standard battery life though.

I recently got a USB cable for my A930, but I can't do anything with it since I don't have a driver for it. Does anybody know of any drivers out there for the A930, besides the one where I'd have to buy Verizon's Music Essentials kit?

I just unzipped the download. Then I ran the setup.exe file that is in the folder.

The driver itself doesn't do much, but it did allow Bitpim to recognize the phone.

Ok here's another comment on the a930. It's by far one of the nicest phones I've used. I had a new razr v3m and could not change a thing on it with the usb cable and drivers I got from verizon (locked up tight). Made me so mad I went back and got the a930 and the music essentials kit ($30). Ok the phone sound great(clear calls). It syncs with Windows Media Player nicely for the music player feature. You can use BitPim 0.9.05 (which supports the a930) to change the ringtones, wallpaper, phonebook, calander, and sounds. But before you try to use the music player feature be sure to get a micro sd card or you'll just be wasting the talents of this phone. The book says that it supports bluetooth data transfer but have not tried it yet. Iwanting to know if anyone has been able to upload java games from your computer yet and if so what program do you use. Also here's the link to the new BitPim http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/bitpim/bitpim-0.9.05-setup.exe?download

You can use DataPilot or Bitpim to transfer your Outlook contacts to your phone.

I just recently got this phone. I was wondering if there is any way to get music and video from my computer to the phone. Also if it was at all possible to set the music as my ringtone. I am not to smart when it comes to this type of thing so if it is possible can anyone break it down barney style for me so I can go step by step. Also if it is possible what type of cords and programs do I need. Any info is great. Thanks in advanced.

Supposedly you can use Windows Media Player 10 to transfer music files to your memory card via the phone. (I haven't purchased a memory card yet, so I can't verify that.) You have to use Windows Media Audio files instead of MP3's.

I don't know about transferring video.

You can use BitPim to move over MP3 clips as ringtones. I've done 15 to 20 second clips.

    Bitpim

You'll need some way of connecting to your computer. A USB cable, or (I believe) a Bluetooth dongle should work.

I read through most of the posts and I determined that the 930 is a pretty nice toy. Compatable with this and that, great for music, but I'm looking for a phone I like the fact that its loud. Hows the reception? Right now I'm using an A-670 and I'm pretty happy with it. Is the 930 as good a phone as the 670 when it comes down to making phone calls.

    Thanks

Hey all, I've been a lurker here for a while but just had to register and give my opinion on this phone. Iv'e had it for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it. I get great reception and the battery life is awesome. I charge it about once a week; that's making calls, sending txt messages, taking pictures, and listening to music. Quite impressive I thought.
I would also like to thank the poster that recommended BitPim, I love it and it's helping me enjoy my phone even more.
