Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about this phone. I just received my cigarette lighter adapter from Sanyo for my 4900 and the cable is labeled "For SANYO phone: SCP-4900, SCP-5300, and SCP-7200 only". I've read about the 5300, but a 7200? Could be interesting...

I have heard no rumors at all about this one. I'm just wondering if Sanyo has something up their sleeve or if maybe this is some Asian phone that we won't see here.

I'M WILLING TO BET IT IS THE SANYO PHONE THAT SPRINT PCS DEBUTED AT THE BIG CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW TO SHOW OFF 3G.

Sprint says the 7200 is a full color PCS Vision phone; same size as the earlier thin monochrome models. They're vague about its roll out date. Local Sprint guy says a couple months.

Is it safe for me to assume the car charger I have for my 4900 will work with the 5300? I'm returning the 4900 today (getting that 5300 when it comes out) and if I don't have to return the charger, I won't bother!

contagian...from the dummy 5300 that ive seen...it seems to me, that it i will use the same chargers as the 5000/5150/6000/6200, and NOT the 4900. since the 4900 would be the upgrade to the 4700. and the 4000/4500/4700 used the same chargers. so, thats that.

I've been looking all around and I can't find any information about this phone anywhere. It looks pretty cool and to have a decent size phone/pda would be a nice bonus... I just have this sinking feeling this thing would set a person back over $500, and even if you factor into that the cost of a separate pda, cheap digital camera, etc., that's still a lot of large to come up with.

Do you have any more info. on this phone? Size, weight, etc.?

Could it be this will be an Asian market phone only? I couldn't help but notice the characters on the keypad.

Thanks for the link to those pics!

Another poster here (another thread) says this phone is a PocketPC also... I took that to mean PDA...
I guess we'll all see sometime what this thing is capable of...

These pictures are not of the 7200. The 7200 is going to be for Push to Talk. It is heavier and bulkier like a walkie talkie.

The 7200 will be a built in Camera phone similar to the 5300.
