Sanyo 5300 Possible to upload Ringtones & Pictures without the data cable??

So sad that the data cable is not out yet for the Sanyo 5300.

When signing up for SprintPCS Vision, you get your own PCS vision e-mail address and your own photo vault, right? My question is:

Is it possible to (using your own computer) e-mail yourself midis and pictures as attachments. Then using your phone, download your own e-mail messages with the midis and pictures as attachments. Then on the phone, take the attachments and assign it as ringtones and background images??

I can't try this right now since I am currently using my old Sanyo SCP-5000. Theoretically, (Using PCS Vision) this should work if the phone allows attachments to be assigned as ringtones or background images if the proper format is used, right?? If this work, then the data cable isn't needed to send ringtones and pictures to the phone from a computer. Can anyone test this to see if this could work?? Thanks!

Ya know, I tried that whole emailing from one account to the Sprint PCS account. It had the attachment, but I couldn't open the attachment through my phone. When I talked to the Sprint people, they told me that only PDA phones could do that. Check into it. Otherwise, you can go where Idioteqnology told you to go.

My question is, how do I shrink down other photos to put on my 5300? The old Sanyos had their multimedia software and you just had to shrink it in there. It was so easy. I know that Futuredial is coming out with the software for that in like a month (that's what they told me at least). They're still doing testing though. I tried using photo editing software, and it still didn't work.

    Oh well [IMG]

not only do you have to shrink the picture but you also have to lower the resolution. my coworker had to use a max of 130 resolution for it to download to his n400

130 pixels by 130 pixels is what you want to get it down to.
