OKay, Thanks to everyone's advice, I have decided I'm okay w/o trimode. I've narrowed my choices to these:
    Samsung A530 or A670, or LG VX6000.

I realize A530 is w/o camera. Don't need one; though it would be fun. All three meet my criteria.

Looking for the best overall of the three in terms of reception, clarity, durability. This will be my first VZW phone.

Many thanks for the advice and discussion thus far; looking forward to lots of feedback on this one.

    Thanks you!!!

Sorry for crosspost; but no feedback on 1st post Thanks again :(

try the 6k, i think you will enjoy that phone, i still have mine and still like it better than anything that Verizon has right now, if not remember you have 15 days to try the next one...

    go with the 6k
LG ringers are so friggin loud its crazy- this is one of the main reason I went to LG at the time instead of the 530s

i was seriously recommending the 6k without being bias because it is a good phone, but reading your post in the other thread it sounds like you prefer Samsung better so just for your info, you can still get the Samy a530 thru Verizon's telesales or web page just in case you like that one...
