On Cingulars web site it is advertising saying that that samsung x427 is their best selling phone. I have herd that this phone is not that good. Can anyone who has this phone tell me how the phone is for them.
Cingular and AT&T sell that phone a lot. I have the X426 which is the same thing as the X427. I love the phone. It's light weighted and small. It's worked fine for me even though I have dropped it on concrete a couple of times. The reception is not bad. If you were really thinking of getting the phone, try it out. Again, it's a good phone.
I have to agree the X427 is a very good phone. We have 3 of them and not one complaint or lost call. Pro's: 1. Small and light weight 2. Reception (holds signal) 3. Screen (indoors) 4. Menu navigation 5. Loud and clear 6. Ringer (adequate, but could be louder) Con's: 1. Screen (outdoors) Overall: A very good basic phone for the casual or new user.
I have a Sprint plan and am thinking about switching to Cingular. I don't use the phone a lot anymore so I'm thinking about switching to Cingular because it's cheaper since I can get ringtones and images without paying for Vision and Picture sending (my Sprint is a camera phone). Does Cingular charge a fee for downloads like in bytes like Sprint? Can I download any ringtone or image or does it have to be from Cingular?
You have to buy the Wireless internet express package to get the ringtones and wallpapers I believe. I have the x427 and I love it. I get great reception. Much better than my other gsm phone (sonyericsson T226). Only thing i dont like is that the phone is sluggish. When using wallpapers that are in motion (animated .gif's) They chug along so slowly. Also, the memory is minimal. I was only able to download about 4 different Musictones before running out of memory.
