Hi, Does anyone have experience with the samsung transform? This is my first smart phone and I just want email; and internet access and texting. I don't think I want to run million "apps" though I don't really know what they do. I dont want video, or care about cameras, or playing music. I'm starting nursing school and only care about being communications: email, text; fax (is that possible). I was hoping to see a reveiw from real users here but my search showed up no hits on the transform thank you
My wife's had one for about a month. It's interesting that they thought it was heavy. I've been using the Samsung Moment for over a year and the Transform seems quite light in comparison. I do prefer that my Moment as a row of number keys instead of having to use Fn to access numbers on the Transform. There are plenty of phones that do email and text and I can't really say any are better or worse. You could probably have saved some money if you don't plan on making use of the features. You stated that you don't know what the apps do. The real question is what don't they do. There are apps for nearly anything you want (streaming radio, games, buying movie tickets, etc.).
I suspect there are some great medical apps out there (some that you may need to pay for) that will make owning an Android phone well worth it as you make your way through nursing school. If you really don't think you will use many of the features, though, a BlackBerry might have been more ideal if all you care about is email/text. Just something to consider next time.
I would not recommend you to go with this cell phone as per your purpose is!My brother had this cell phone but he faced a problem with replying to text messages. When he tries to reply and hits a certain key it will open him email and try to find a contact....he can back out of the email but when he tries again to reply and hits the same key it will again open her email.
