I've had this phone for a year and a half or so.

It has gone dead twice now. Both times it showed a full charge and both times just went dead -- i.e., no "i'm-turning-off-now" tone.

The first time it did this was about two months ago. I left it plugged in to charge over night and the next morning it was working again.

The second time was yesterday evening. I left it plugged in over night and it was still dead this morning.

What is this likely to be? Is the battery just junk? If so, where can I buy another one, at a Verizon shop or Radio Shack or ??

    Thanks for any help!

This could be a number of things, 1 the charger is bad, or the battery is bad. Also the battery may not be sitting in the phone right, causing the contacts to not be matching fully.
Also have you checked the outlet to make sure it's working?

You could try this, remove the battery and reseat it in the phone & try charging it again. Sometimes this helps.

Thanks for the tips. The battery showed a three-block charge earlier in the day, so I think that rules out that it was a natural process of losing its charge. I've removed and reinstalled that battery a few times to check that it's seated OK. I did check the outlet. It's fine.

Ive had the same problem before with my Motorola V265. I realized that all i needed to do was to make sure the battery charger was plugged in right and that the phone was charging. And even if i plugged it in and it said it was charging,i watched the phone for a few seconds to make sure it remained charging and if it didnt that meant the battery charger wasnt in the right way. So if you have that problem again, just make sure the battery charger is plugged in alltheway/therightway. Hope that helps!
