so if i get an unlocked s105 i do not have access to the wireless web functions (mmode) on att gsm net? can anyone confirm? thanks
Confirmed, The S105 WAP settings menu is gone per T-Mobile requirments. Get a S100 same phone same as the S105 but you can change the WAP settings. Just went through this myself.
s100, i thought about this too... do you or anyone know if/where i can get (if even available) a NEVER locked s105... marka2k, how do you like the s100? are you using it on att gsm? did att hassle you about using a "non att" phone? i've not gone through the process ever, any help you could provide...
Someone correct me if I am wrong, the S105 is made for T-Mobile the software is to their specs. The S100 is for other carriers. My S100 is indeed on the ATT network and WAP is working. ATT does not even know I have it as you just take the SIM card out of you're other GSM phone and place it in the S100 configure the WAP settings for ATT. If you find a S100 make sure it has SW V1.6 or higher, some ATT areas have an issue with Network Failure and unable to make a call with SW V1.5 I had this problem but read a thread here that showed how to flash the phone. The S100 is getting harder to find, Ebay has them on occassion expect to pay around $330
so you finally got the s100 to work? what was the problem? i'm looking for the s100 actively... one on auction at ebay ends tomorrow... keeping my fingers crossed
I've been trolling these pages and could not find anyone who can refer me to flashing an s105 to an s100; i.e., unlocking the browser part of the phone. Anyone has any information?
Using the cable that comes with the S100 I was able to flash the SW on my S100 to V1.6 from V1.5. IT works 100% on AT&T, you will need to do a search on this forum for Network Failure you will find instructions and a link to get the software with flash. Of course I would not flash it if it is working. From reading this forum it is NOT possible to flash a S105 with S100 software it will fry the phone.
