Samsung is having cascading delays supposedly because of high demands in pre-orders. Poor planning it seems. http://www.sammobile.com/2016/08/12/galaxy-note-7-release-delayed-in-russia-and-ukraine/
Again! http://www.sammobile.com/2016/08/17...s-galaxy-note-7-pre-orders-go-live-in-europe/ I'm wondering if that is why even here in the states things aren't going as expected.
@palandri: I know of the game Marco Polo, but I don't understand the relationship to my issue with Samsung. Please explain. I could use a good joke about now.
@palandri: Oh! That's not Marco Polo, that's "Where's the Beef?" Per the articles I've read, Samsung grossly underestimated the demand. I find that a bit hard to believe. I think what really happened was they started production WAY TOO LATE, which was alluded to in article I read a month ago.
@KevinJames, this might be of interest to you: http://www.gsmarena.com/note7_gorilla_glass_5_display_more_likely_to_scratch-blog-20025.php This will obviously apply to all other phones coming out with Gorilla Glass 5. I imagine that there were enough complaints about screens being damaged when dropped that they decided to improve that at the expensive of making it more susceptible to being scratched. It'll be interesting to see if they swing back in the other direction in a couple of years
@dmapr: that was an interesting article. I'll have to make sure to keep it away from "will get scratched with metal such as iron, steel, copper, nickel, and even other kinds of glass, materials we find in everyday objects" -- That is, if Best Buy ever actually delivers the dang thing to me. LOL
Gosh. Can it get any worse? Scratch residence is far more important than breakage. Steve Jobs wanted to have a phone that didn't scratch in a pocket with coins and keys. That's why he engaged Corning Glass in 2006 or so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
