Well, now that the news (and reviews) about the Samsung Infuse is out, there is now another announcement that Samsung is doing alone (without carrier involvement) on May 24th. The "buzz" seems to be that Samsung will either announce the Galaxy S II (2) or an upcoming tablet. I'm hoping on the S2.

Phonedog recently conducted a survey and, compared with several other upcoming phones, it won by a landslide as the most highly anticipated, consumer-desirable device. Anyone out there looking forward to it?

    4.3" Super Amoled Plus screen
    Dual-core processors
    Android Gingerbread OS
    TouchWiz 4.0

To me the above is much more impressive that the Infuse which only has a 4.5" screen to boast about. (Well, it does have 1.2GHz single-core processor, but only has Froyo & an older TouchWiz.)

I plan on going to touch & feel the Infuse when it is actually released on the 15th (or soon after) but I wont commit to buy until I hear what is being said on 5/24.

I am patiently wait for the Sprint version to be revealed. The Vibrant I had, and now my Epic i really like. The AMOLED screen is gorgeous and the Hummingbird processor is super fast. Also I like some of the add-ons Samsung did to Android making me prefer stock ROMS to custom ROMS. The II should be a great upgrade. i do wish they would of stuck to the 4" screen, 4.3" was just a tad to big for me.

Budney: Best wishes on that for you. My wife has the Samsung Captivate which has the amoled screen & I agree with you, even that "older" technology is brilliant. The "super amoled plus" screen ought to be awesome! :D

The Galaxy S II looks like an amazing phone. I've been researching on the device and it seems to be doing very well in Asia, upon it's release. It has a 1.2 Ghz processor, which was the speed that laptops were performing at a couple of years ago. Now that is insane.

It's definitely going to be a great phone. It obviously surpasses the iPhone 4 in terms of power and specs, and the UI is as beautiful as it's case design. It'll be hard for Apple to compete with it.

It is an quite good phone, with lot amazing features, i think every body should go for it, its 4.3 inch screen is quite better than any other LCD in market.

@barlala: Yup. My wife is already "priming the pump," telling me she wants it. Unfortunately, I've been out of work for nearly 15 months. Nothing in the horizon. She's stuck with her phone until I can get some income coming in. As for me, I'm waiting for the Note2.

According to the latest news Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will be launched on 15th August and hope that they would have these in shops quickly as they did with Samsung Galaxy S3. They had these phones on sale within a month.
