An article in Fast Company: Samsung Adds Ad Blocking To Its Android Phones "The move could spell big trouble for publishers and comes after Apple added similar software in iOS 9."
Since I don't use the default browser, I'll still get the dang ads. I use mostly Opera and occasionally Dolphin. I have issues with the default browser when I'm trying to download PDF files, it opens it as a streaming media so i can't save it.
And Google promptly kicks it out of the store. http://www.engadget.com/2016/02/03/google-pulls-samsung-backed-ad-blocker/ Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
@QLR: That's alright. Samsung will just include it in their next firmware update and give Google that driver's hand signal I've been seeing so much of on the highways lately. (I've never understood that. Are they telling me I'm number 1 or are they showing me something they picked out of their nose?) LOL
If I want timely OS updates, I'll use this. We all know that Samsung isn't timely with anything lol Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
I'll use the browser on my phone, but I am always clearing the history, data and cache one or two times a day, but there must be a history that is stored at Google. If I use the Chrome browser on my laptop I'll get GroupOn ads for food, automotive and electronics that I've looked at. Once and a while I'll run into a script from a website that prevents me from deleting the history, but once I clear the data and cache, I am able to remove it. That's a pretty invasive script.
It has been reinstated to Google Play Store. Downloaded it, but of course, I'm on an older Internet browser lol. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
