    Hi,
New user. We are currently using Alltel, with the original Motorola bag phone (analog signal). Have a Wilson yagi installed on cabin and have been getting a good - (6 bars) signal. In Sept., the analog signal goes away. Alltel is pushing a new Motorola bag phone, only 1/3 watt compared to 3 watts. Users are not happy with it and other cell phone providers, such as verizon, can offer only condolences!!!
    Any advice?

The new Moto bag phone with a Yagi is probably as good as you are going to get... Sorry about that.

The M800 is supposedly 0.6 watts, versus 0.3 watts for a normal handheld digital phone. It's not 3-watts but it's better than a RAZR, or whatever.

There was a member on here who had tested it and had all the figures but that was years ago, when the M800 first came out. Let me see if I can find it.

EDIT: I found it. It was Shango who posted the info on his site.

Good info. Probably what you'll need is the M800, a booster and the antenna.

You can get a 3-watt amplifier from Wilson or Cyfre, to boost the signal of a digital phone. If you get just an amplifier (instead of a "repeater"), be sure the phone has an external antenna port.

We have a cable that goes from the M800 to the Cyfre amplifier. Been selling alot of this setup to the oil companies in West Texas. They are very happy campers now. with the amplifier and the M800. together

And speaking of amplifiers, I see that you carry a 7-watt unit, even more powerful than old bag phones!

It is a direct connect amplifier . It is 7 on 850 mz and 2 on 1900 mhz , Sell lots of them in Wyoming , Idaho , South Dakota , Texas ,etc . Places where towers a long ways apart . Also sell them to US Coast Guard and The Border Patrol on the Northern border
