They even have some AMPS roaming agreements with TDMA/GSM carriers such as Cingular.

i don't think they are distributing quad band phones anymore for the purpose of U.S. GSM roaming.......the phones that they previously distributed were for use overseas since most overseas companies don't support CDMA

Data roaming is also coming on Alltel later this year, both 1xRTT and EVDO. Rumors of Verizon 1xRTT roaming coming too.

Sprint needs to get data roaming on all CDMA networks that you could roam on including Verizon. Why is this so difficult for Sprint to understand? GSM carriers have had this feature for quite a while.

yeah but there's more to it than that....some companies may not be willing to share their data network even if they are being offered money..........and even if they accept the offer it is a lot of money for Sprint

If T-Mobile, Cingular and even much smaller carriers can do it financially, I'm sure Sprint and Verizon can do it too.
