I was looking at the purchase section of the SERO site..........when your at the mains ite where it shows your phone and plan next to eachother it has 2 stars underneath the plan that say off-network roaming not included...................when you click on plan details it says: Roaming - 0.00/min Included well.............which is it?
Wirelessly posted (Q's Mobile Device: Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/3.0.6306/1558; en; U; ssr)) If I saw lingo like that, I'd say that you can use the phone anywhere on the Sprint network only. Do they list the off network roaming rate? What happened to plan information being clear and precise? Maybe a more competent person would be willing to explain.
on the main page it said that Off-Network Roaming was not included...........but when i went to plan details it said Roaming 0.00/min Included
Wirelessly posted (Q's Mobile Device: Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/3.0.6306/1558; en; U; ssr)) Just making a guess... Maybe they block off network roaming. But I have a hard time believing this. What does customer service say about this?
but they dont..........my mom and i both have SERO and we have free unlimited roaming......which is why this doesnt make sense
thats wat i figured cuz my mom and i have free roaming and the only other fluke i wouldhave guessed would have been tha they changed the plans after i got service activated
It's free roaming. When you set up your online account with sprint and check the details you will see it.
Isn't it great? What other carrier gives the option to force your phone and roam on another carrier with no additional charges?
yeah........it would be even better if we could see which carrier we were roaming on...........we dont even need to choose which one.......just to see the appropriate banner
Well there are ways of finding out by going into debug mode or by calling a customer service code. But usually it's either Verizon or Alltel.
well yeahn i know that........around my area those are the only CDMA providers..........Sprint and Verizon..............but when i go to Williamsburg, VA it tends to switch sometimes between Alltel and Verizon and i really didnt like the Alltel network down there much....... kinda off-topic but does anyone know if Sprint is going to begin offering shared SMS??? eventually? soon? never?
It really is great that Sprint gives the 'forced roam' option! I am even a bit jealous. As for SMS texting, I (Alltel) am able to do it with a friend that has Sprint, as well as another friend that uses Verizon can now text the Sprint phone too! We are in MN and SD, he is in TX. He said it is just of recent that it works!
