So im in Maine. My v710 goes from "Extended Network" to "Digital Roaming" but the roaming triangle indictor does not turn on... When i try to get my #MIN, i get a message from US Cellular that it cannot get thru... So whats the story, bosses?
Well, I have GSM, and when I roam on other carriers, it wouldn't show the roaming indicator, just displays the name of the company's tower i'm using.
I think your phone may display digital roaming instead of the roaming triangle. Does the triangle work at other times?
Throughout the country Verizon's features such as Voicemail may or may not work when your phone is using the network of a Verizon roaming partner. In the scenario you described you should not be charged for a call but Verizon's features are not available to you on its extended network. They will be when your screen says Verizon Wireless.
from VZW themselves: "Thank you for contacting Verizon Wireless through our website. I have received your inquiry regarding the coverage area for the wireless account and your roaming signal and I am happy to assist you. When your phone's roaming indicator is off and/or the banner display reads "Verizon Wireless Network," America's Choice home airtime rates apply, and National IN Calling is available. Digital features and services are available only when your digital indicator is on. When the roaming indicator is flashing and/or the banner display reads "Extended Network," America's Choice home airtime rates still apply. However, National IN Calling and some other features and services may not be available. When the roaming indicator is solid and/or the banner display reads "Roaming," roaming is unavailable and calls may not be sent or received."
Speaking of roaming, off-topic though, do you guys remember those comercials from I believe it was Virgin Mobile, where the guy has a shock collar that shocks him when the phone starts roaming? :lmao: LMAO. "You're roaming dude, you're roaming" :rotfl:
