i have some mp3 pieces in my phone, and it's weird: when i go to the sounds menu, i can see every mp3 i uploaded. now, when i go to the ringstyles menu, and then go to loud/soft/etc detail, i cannot see some of them. i noticed that the mp3's i uploaded through bluetooth can be seen in the ringstyles menu; however, the ones i uploaded with my data cable and p2kman software are not there. what's weirder is that if i go straight into the sounds menu, and pick an mp3 that does not appear in the ringstyles menu, and set it as my ringtone, the phone says "ringtone changed", but it doesnt. the phone keeps the previous ringtone. do any of you have the same problem??
You need to go into your ringtones menu w/ your p2k software and delete the *.db files in your sounds directory, then powercycle the phone. When the phone comes back on it will rebuild the file, and include all the new entries. -Jay
Database. The extension of the files you need to delete are going to be .db. Only entries in this file can be entered as ringtones. -Jay
