Ring & notification volume issue in ICS

As those of us running Android 4.0.x a.k.a Ice Cream Sandwich have found out there's a regression in the handling of volume controls for these two items: Issue 23117 - android - Notification and ringtone volume cannot be seperated - Android - An Open Handset Alliance Project - Google Project Hosting

I am using LIama to silent the notification based on location and times.
