I'd like to upgrade my current Sprint plan, free and clear, to a vision plan. I thought it would be a
simple plan upgrade and I'd still retain my current 8 PM - 7 PM status. What I'm being told is that
it would now be 9 PM to 7 PM. So it's not an 'upgrade' but a new agreement. Basically, I'm no different than a new customer signing up. Any thoughts? I thought Sprint made 'exceptions' to this based on good status.

Sprint's nights begin at 9pm. You are getting the same deal as a new customer would. Any time you change your plan, you are getting the most current plan or promo and remember that you may gain some, but you can also lose some, as in your case with your night minutes beginning at 9pm.

You can add vision to your current plan and retain your 8pm night and weekends. You may be required to renew your agreement...but you should be able to keep your 8pm plan without any problems. the vision addon is 10.00 a month for unlimited usage and the 10.00 is actually waived for the first 3 months.

I have always been told (by Sprint) that if you change your plan, this will null and void any previous plans. The only way to keep your 8pm N/W start time would be through retention; other then that, if you change, your times will change too.[IMG]

    Jay Jay and Scandalex,

How exactly do I retain that? I'm being told I can't hold on to it if I upgrade to a vision plan.

Is there a retention department I can contact directly?

    Thanks for your inputs.

    Pete

Its all codes in the system. As far as i know, if you try to add the vision code to an older plan code, the computer will reject it. So I dont know of any ways you could get vision and keep 8pm nights. But I know some reps are good about getting around computer code incompatibilities with other problems. Maybe someone will figure out a way for you. Or maybe they have changed the coding structure since I left sprint so you may want to ask a more current rep. Last I know, it wasnt do-able. As for contacting retention. Im not sure if your problem will really get much sympathy. They usually give credits or curtesy minutes to appease customers who have had major problems. And they usually only give into demands if competitors have better deals and they think you will switch. But all other companies have 9pm nights. Just simply saying I would like to keep 8pm nights when all other vision customers have 9pm doesnt seem like a strong argument to me. But its worth a shot if you get the right rep. Best of luck.

Vision codes have been updated in the system to be compatible with all prev plan structures. Its no longer required to do a plan changed to add the vision, however you may be required to simply renew your agreement...depending on the rep. If you have any problems post and email and i'll ask a contact of mine if there is anything he can do.
