When I take off the Verizon Wireless banner exactly as in the posted instructions, it causes a flashing triangle. When I reinstall my original eri, it goes away.

    Anyone else having this problem?

... and no, you aren't roaming when you mess with the eri file. That file is just there for your visual pleasure [IMG]

If you edit the file wrong, it will display weird things, or act up like yours is. Make sure when done editing the file that the size of the edited file matches the size of the original EXACTLY.

correct, instead of removing 'Verizon Wireless' completely from your eri, you have to replace it with equivilant number of spaces.

if you used a local calling plan the banner usually doesn't display on your phone.
