So are any of you into remodeling your homes? When I moved into mine man I went through alot of work. But it is worth it the main thing was the flooring I have tiled so much lol I am sick of it. Here are some before and after pics the counter top is going to be granite and we got a new stove and microwave. and got handles on the cabinets. Anyways here you go.

Ryan, I have become a fan of how-to shows on the likes of HGTV, Discovery Home, DIY, etc. I've become an even bigger fan of the show "Holmes on Homes" on Discovery Home. This is a Canadian show about contractor Mike Holmes who, along with his construction crew, fix the messes some contractors do to people's homes. It's scary to see how some contractors royally screw up remodels by taking shortcuts, avoiding permits, dangerous electrical wiring, improper insulation, etc. Even though it may take longer, sometimes it's almost better to do it yourself instead of dealing with the hassle of contractors/construction crews and the drama that goes with it. Plus you have the added benefit of knowing you did it yourself!!:thumb:
Mike I totaly agree and you know by doing it yourself it not only benefits you. But you can pass this on to your children or your friends you know.
I know how that goes. About 6 or 7 years ago we re-did our kitchen. We hired a guy that was a friend and was also a contractor. Not only did he take forever, now 6 years later quite a few tiles are popping up already. We had the same guy do our bathroom. He took almost a year to do that, and the bathroom wasn't that big. He won't be back here to do any other work anytime soon. But good job Ryan. Looks good!
thanks, myself i hate remodeling, too many decisions to make. buts its so rewarding. and to be able to say, i did that.
Will do, we're getting new carpet in out rec. room so I'll see if I can snap a before and after picture of that. Along with the tile, I just don't know when were doing that.
