Stumbled upon another phone I had never heard of. Realme started in 2010 as a sub-brand of OPPO Electronics until its separation in 2018, after which it became an independent company. The Realme XT comes with a 64MP quad camera, 16MP front camera, dual SIM cards, in display fingerprint scanner. 3D curved glass screen, 6.4" screen and fast/flash charging. The phones are hard to find for sale, but I did find the Realme XT at Amazon for $279.99 https://www.realme.com/global/realme-xt
On a somewhat superficial glance none of the variants have North American LTE bands, at least not a sufficient set to work well on AT&T.
Interesting, I found this for their international model: GSM VERSION< DOESNT WORK WITH CDMA CARRIERS LIKE VERIZON OR SPRINT GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2 // WCDMA: 1/2/4/5/8 // LTE FDD: 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28
Yep, the AT&T relies heavily on bands 12&17, and I didn't spot that on any model. Not sure what TMobile uses. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
REALME surely knows hows to step up the game, I love the fact that their smartphones are cheap in terms of price but the quality is not that bad.
