After years of me saying it wouldn't happen to my real estate customers, Supra (a division of GE) has developed software to allow real estate agents to open their IR enabled lockboxes. Those little blue lockboxes that your agents put your house keys in when you list it for sale. Blackberries don't have IR ports (when they did they were not enabled.) So you have to buy an extra "fob" that converts bluetooth to IR. I've always pointed agents in the direction of windows mobile or palm because of the available lockbox software, now they have another option with the Blackberry. I wrote about this on my blog if you would like to take a more detailed look: Achieve Telecom Blackberry Addicted Real Estate Agents have new options. I'm interested to see if there are already agents using this set-up? and why they chose it over Palm or Windows Mobile.
Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.60 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.2.13337/608; U; en) Presto/2.2.0) Interesting. Sounds like a Bluetooth lock box would be a good thing.
