I have a Razr V3xx through AT&T and the battery life sucks. I had a Motorola Krzr and the battery used to last sooooooooo long through T-mobile. Whenever I call AT&T they just say it's b/c of all the technology that the phone does. But I'm not using all the technology. I don't use the internet much - I don't play a lot of games and I really don't use the mp3 player. Can anybody give me helpful tips on how to prolong the battery life...are there any settings I can manipulate to do this? Help
Hi there, the first thing that comes to mind is that the V3xx is a 3G phone and KRZR is not. If you are not in a solid 3G area your phone is constantly searching and switching between 3G and standard GSM which drains the battery rather quickly. Unfortunately there is no easy way to turn 3G off in the Motorola's with modding.
Thanks for your response. And yes - I think that is what drains it - the 3G. I've heard of that before. You would think AT&T would come up with a way to not allow 3G to be so draining. I am constantly having to throw my phone on the charger. I love the phone but the battery is horrible. And I know it's AT&T also b/c I had a different phone before this one that did the same thing.
I've got a RAZR v3xx which I forgot to charge recently. Okay, my bad. But aren't there temporary battery packs on the market, i.e., AAA or AA batteries in a cradle that you can plug onto the charger slot to give you 15 or 20 minutes (however long the batteries last). If so, who sells these? I really needed my phone the night I forgot to charge it (of course!) Thanks! chairfone
