there is a blinking yellow triangle in the corner and i havent been able to find a clear answer to it. i have been told it could be roaming or because i am far from my home area. will i be charged any extra?

also if someone sends me a ringtone through bluetooth and its in my media how do i set it as a ring tone its not one of the options?

my hometown is pecos TX 79772 but i am living in Subiaco AR 72865 for boarding school right now.

The triangle is the roaming indicator, but what it means is determined by what rate plan you are on. As you did not provide that you can't get a definitive answer.

Blinking means you are covered. I am assuming you have a free to roam or national plan. If so then you are fine. It just means you left your home SID more than likely.

And for the ringtones you'd have to do a search for motorola v3a ringtones.

well i have a few ringtones that i had sent to my phone but from what i have heard the new razr disabled the use of mp3's as ringtones...is there any way for me to use them as ringtones with out having to get a computer connecting cable and software?

The blinking triangle just means you are not on your "home" system in TX. Chances are you are still on an Alltel tower, but in Arkansas and not in TX...so you are "roaming" on a diffrenet Alltel system. If you are on a national plan, you are good to go with no extra charges. As far as ringtones, you are out of luck. There are ways around it, but they are not easy and you could fry the phone. Most all cell companies/carriers are disabling the ability to do this now. It sucks.

They are all correct on the blinking triangle. I get that all the time when I leave my home area. As long as it is BLINKING, you aren't charged extra on a National plan.
