I have the silver v3m, but if had been given the choice...woulda chose black. Johnny Cash wasnt the "Man in Silver" now was he?
Gee, I just picked up the blue V3 from Cingular two days ago, where does that leave me? Really nice looking phone and Monopoly Tycoon looks great on that 2.5" inside display.
Hey Mike I just noticed that minute difference between the silver you have displayed and the silver that I have. The silver RAZR you have displayed has a silvery looking keypad and it makes it hard to see what you are doing. Mine has a dark keypad with blue keys. Very, very easy to see what you are doing, even in the sunlight.
Yeah, that was one of the differences between the GSM and CDMA versions. This was a thread started around April/May 2005 when the Black RAZR had just come out. I had no idea how many iterations would end up being released! Who new???
I have another reason to vote black now. Sadly, I dropped my black V3 in a parking lot the past weekend and scuffed it a bit. I was disapointed that I would now posess a battle-scarred V3, but when I got home I got the idea to touch it up with a black sharpie marker. I colored in the scratches, and then waited a minute for the ink to mostly cure, then I rubbed the touched up area with my thumb to blend it into the phone. Looks pretty good. A silver V3 would still be scratched with no opportunity to be fixed w/o a new housing. -Jay
I kind of like the new V3m from Verizon. It is kind of a cross between both; Silver front and back with the inside (including keypad) black.
I just switched from Alltel to Cellular One. It was the best switch I ever made!! Anyway, I picked out the Royal Blue RAZR V3 and it's really cool looking, soo far I like GSM waaaayyy better than CDMA for many reasons. But thats just me....... I would choose black over silver any day.
Yeah.... someone left out the pink RAZR! If no pink, I would pick Silver.... actually the one I would really want! would be the Teal limited edition one that was from L'Oreal for Cancer research. http://www.look-your-best.com/article/loreal-paris-support-ovarian-cancer-9-06.html I love aqua, turquoise, and teal/blues the best! even over pink
I have the silver w/ black keypads but I just found a rubberized hard plastic snap on cover in Husker red that is starting to look real good especially after the drop story. I just need to make sure it'll still fit in the leather holster w/ the hard case on.
I LOVE the way the black looks, I also like the gunmetal grey, but unfortunately when I was finally eligible for upgrade with verizon, they had just switched to v3m and only had it in silver. When I finally broke down and got it, I actually don't mind the silver, but I still eye people jealously when I see they have black. I kinda want to change the housing to black, but I don't want to break my phone and it seems like a LOT of pieces to switch around. Has anyone done this or know how hard it is?
Black beats silver anyday, black will go with anything,it has a much better look with light coming from it,looks cool too!silver is okay gives it a steel look, solid.I prefer black!
It's funny to me to see this thread pop up again after two years of inactivity and nearly 4.5 years since I originally posted it, when the black RAZR first came out. After all this time, it looks like the Black version won by a landslide...
I chose the Silver because I had the silver V3m when it was newly released. I do like the black one because it reminds me of the StarTac, which I believe I would need an intervention, counseling, and a hearty round of 12 steps with my sponsor to let go of.
Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8350i/5.0.0.1051 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/103) For me the Black Razor has been the sexiest Motorola phone ever released
