This is in response to the below message. Try to change the network setup from automatic to 850/1900 and then you should be able to connect to the browser. I know Cingular/AT&T are on 850/1900, I used to work for them. I had the exact same problem and once I changed that setting I was fine. Try it and see if it works.

I just got a motorola razr v3 from the cingular store and the internet brower doesnt work. when i select launch browser it says connection unsuccessful try again later. it has done this since i got it a week ago. what should i do

To make a new mms profile, use the top left button on your keypad and push it once, and then it allows you to scroll down and create a new mms on cingular razor. After that set the mms to your new profile.

Sure. First of all go to the settings for your ringing profiles that you want a custom ring for (generally this will be loud, soft, vibe&ring) and make sure ringer ID is on for those profiles. (Don't turn it on for Vibrate or Silent, or the phone will ring when those with ID's call) Then go into the phonebook and edit the entry for those people you want id's for. You will see an entry to change the id.

hey i just got a RAZR v3m and i bought a microSD and im just trying to firgure out how to select these files on my phone to use as a wallpaper or a ringtone,my provider is Verizon, and i have no idea what folder they are supposed to be in, here is a pic of what i get when i put the card in the reader, and what are the file types that are accepted for wallpapers and ringtones, thanks

Hi Jay, and thanks for your reply. I did exactly what you suggested to do, but when I went into the phonebook and selected edit, there was no entry to change the ID.
Perhaps I should rephrase my question in case of any misunderstanding I might have conveyed.
I have a Razr v3 with service provided by T Mobile in NJ.
I am trying to assign different ringtones(ringstyles) to different people in my phonebook using the ringtones(ringstyles) provided on my phone.

I thought TMO used the same UI as CIngular, because that's how I did it on all my Motorolas. Is there a menu item labeled More in the edit phonebook menu?

I'm Pradeep from India and a new owner of Motorazr V3M CDMA provided by Reliance Communications in India.

Good to have this handset as earlier I had a Nokia handset.

To start off, I just have a small query... I'm not able to get an option in my phone to set MP3 song (on the micro SD card) as my ringtone? Is this option available on this handset or do I have to live with the existing set of handset ringtones? kindly help me.:browani:

I just got a locked razr v3xx but when i try to access medianet it is stuck on "Connecting..." it used to automatically load a page saying that the address could not be found but now it just hangs on "connecting". Is there any way to fix this? Im thinking maybe the technician working at the store configured my phone wrong when i got it, it worked fine on my old one... i really want to use the browser to check mail and also MSN messenger... help! I'm using AT&T

I just bought an unlocked v3t, and now I'm looking for a micro sd memory card. The motorola website states up to 1 GB can be used, but might a 2 GB work or will it only allow 1 GB. Thank you.

If the manual for your device states 1GB then it will format a 2gb card as 1gb.

I just got a Razr from my suncom provider. I thought i had figured out it was a v3. My mom also got one hers is a v3. When i plug it up to my computer it tells me its a v3r though. Even though i thought diffrent. her says v3. Can someone help me with this?
v3 - 480x640 or something of the sort

mine is definetly not 1 megapixel.
anywho.. this is not my real problem.
i flashed my phone. (with a v3r flash might i add that works besides this) and not my browser is not working. What should i do? it says gprs network nto found. thanks in advance

i just got a new razr...call me a noob but i have no idea which one it is....the new one, not the motorazr just the normal one...any-hoo only the first frame and audio will play on the videos i take! any suggestions? i have not modded or changed many settings. everything else seems to be working. thanks!

I just get a new MOTV3MS from Verizon and a copy of Motorola Phone Tools ver 4.51. After installing theMPT I saw that I couldn't do USB transfers only phone contacts, text and thigs like that. I read about seem editing and made the necessary change but I still couldn't get MPT to install themodules necessary for ultimedia. attached is a snapshot fron P2KTools. Any idea what I can do?

After searching some more I found out that I needed to do a seem edit on offset 006 for MultiMedia studio. Everything is working now with MPT 4.51.

help with MPT on Vista

I had MPT running just fine on my Windows XP desktop. Bought a new one for Vista and have done all updates. At least Live Updater thinks I am up to date. When I launch the MPT, I get the Select a Profile page. I click OK for the default (I have also tried making a profile for USB). Then I get the turn on phone and attach page so I do that. and click OK. Then nothing happens. BUT, i also tried the BT connection, and I would get the RAZR like GUI but no connection. Then when I tried going back to USB, I did get the GUI ONCE, and I was able to move pictures off the phone. but now I can not repeat that. The hardware manager is showing the modem as functioning properly, but the GUI won't show up. I have been told to trying uninstalling and starting over, but I can not uninstall either. WHen I try that, I get a message saying setup.exe is not working.

Update, gave it one more try. Re-installed without uninstalling, and now it all works. Go figure.

Hi, I recently traded in my LG CG300 for (an unlocked) Motorola V3 GSM.

However, I am unable to send or recieve multimedia messages. Nor can I configure the Instant Messenger service. My service provider is AT&T/Cingular. I've spoken to Customer Care at AT&T and also visted my local AT&T store. So far, no one has been able to provide me with any working solutions. All of my settings for MEdia Net and MMS are correct, as per Customer Care and the AT&T website, as I do have Internet access. I've tried downloading the "Cool Tools" feature via the AT&T website and the "Mobile E-mail" feature from my phone. After trying the latter, this is the error message I get : "Authentication Error: Application not installed."

Does anyone have solutions/suggestions as to what else I can do?

The best bet would be to flash the phone with an unlocked Cingular monster pack if you are up to that challenge.

I purchased a new Motorola RAZR V3x off of EBAY which happens to be configured for Vodafone. My carrier is AT&T and I was able to plug my SIM card in and get the phone working with out any problems. I do have a problem getting the rest of it configured. I have not been able to get any of the networking portion configured that allows text messages email and video..
I notice that Vodafone seems to leave all of the Motorola option available so you can configure your network. My question is where can I fine AT&T settings, I have been querying there site and have ask the local tech but they don’t know. Any Ideas how I can get this configured or does anyone know of anyone who does this type of work.

Go to ATT's website and look up the device settings for a Motorola V3xx. It would use the same settings. That's what I did when I setup my Motorola A845 for use on the 3G network. One thing you should know about the V3x though. It does not have the US 850 band on it as the V3x is a European model phone. You may experience difficulties in some areas (especially rural areas) because your phone cannot utilize towers on the 850 band, only towers operating on 1900.

Thanks, your the man. I found the parameters and plugged them in and it worked. You answered my next question about the 850 band. I had it drop of on me the other day in a town where my old phone worked.

Im trying to send a ringtones from my V3xx to my wifes V3i via bluetooth. I keep getting "make sure other device is in pairing mode". Any suggestions?

On your wife's phone make sure bluetooth is turned on, and discoverable by other devices before you try to send it.

My problem is that if I put a animated GIF image on my phone when I go to look at it in its folder it does not play properly. It plays once then stops. I have a platnium razor v3xx, my wife has a gold razor v3xx and they work fine on hers. Any help would be appreciated.
