I have a razor v3 . The plug in battery charger has quit working. I have Motorall Phone tools but it will not recognise it unless it is turned on. Is there another way to make this work? I am guessing that the battery is dead right now and I have no way to charge it. Any Ideas?

I bought a Cingular 3G Razr. I tried to buy some ringtones from the Cingular Media Mall and I get a message saying it isnt compatible with my device. How do i know what tones are compatible?

The only thing I can think of is buy a new charger. If that doesn't work then make a warranty claim if its still under warranty. I've never seen a V3 battery go bad.

I think you need to set up your media net over the internet with your home computer before it works properly. Have you done this since you have bought the new phone?

I'm not sure what the media net address is. I use internet, but I almost never use the media net pages, and I have absolutely never bought a ringtone.

You can configure the MediaNet settings right from Cingular's website for all of the phones that they offer. You will need to manually enter them, but it is not that hard, they walk you through it, with pictures.

I'm not talking about the settings in the phone, there is a media net website that you log onto w/ your PC that configures the content for your phone and your likes/dislikes.

There is a probram called P2K Commander available from www.motomodders.net that will let you do it. You have to be careful though because there are no safeguards on the program like there are on MPT. If you accidentally delete a critical file your phone may stop working.

No, since the GSM phones the GPS is done by the network triangulating your position. GPS can't be totally disabled, even on other types of phones as the FCC requires that the caller's location be available for 911 dispatchers.

I think the V3xx uses the same drivers as the other Motorola P2k phones, but you need the newest version of P2k Commander to work on the V3xx. In any event, the drivers are at www.motomodders.net .

The first step in figuring out what model V3 you have is we need to know what your carrier is, how long ago you purchased it, and how much you paid. We should be able to determine what model you have from that.

I believe that model is the regular standard V3 in a spiffy-deluxe housing. Try Motorola's MPT software, it is specially designed to move pics & ringtones on and off the phone. As far as the locked content goes, I am not sure if it will move the locked content. P2K Commander will remove the locked content, but it has no safeguards in it. P2K Commander will let you delete critical operating system files and not ask if you are sure you want to do that.

It isn't expensive. You can get it cheap on Ebay, or get it from www.bvrp.com They are the ones that sell it for Motorola. I believe the promo code for 50% off is BVRPUS.

To answer the Network & Call Ring Question: :)

It rings when you have bars, or are out of network range. It's just a notifier...you have the option to shut it off. As well as the failed call "ring". That is also a notifier, if a call doesn't go through and you retry and the call goes through, it rings to let you know it succeeded. It may have failed because the cell site is jammed up w/traffic (busy time of day) or the site is down, etc.
